Each day, employees across Syneos Health commit to overcoming the challenges that come with oncology clinical trials. Because to us, cancer patients aren’t just numbers — they’re our family members, friends and neighbors. We believe that our continued collaboration with sponsors and global teammates can bring hope to patients and caregivers. In fact, many employees have seen exciting progress firsthand. Here is a glimpse into some of the oncology work happening at Syneos Health from employees who are on the front lines with these clinical trials. Check out what our accelerators are up to:

“I am cancer survivor, and I recently celebrated 13 years of being cancer-free. I lost my father to lung cancer. My mother survived ovarian cancer. Like for many of our associates, the good work done here at Syneos Health is personal to me.

I am more excited about a clear progress toward a cure after working on so many oncology studies with our Company. I’ve witnessed the industry become better and better at identifying patient populations most likely to benefit from new drugs, and the sponsor companies we partner with are working to develop powerful therapies with fewer side effects. I am very proud of Syneos Health’s contributions in the fight against the ‘Emperor of All Maladies’.”

“In my 5+ years at Syneos Health, I have worked on more than 7 Oncology trials. I have experience in different therapeutic areas, but I find Oncology trials are the most complex in terms of design and management. It’s great to be involved in the protocol review, study design, data review and analysis. Learning is a never-ending process for oncology trials and I am happy with the work I am doing.

Currently, I am managing two Phase I Oncology trials and one Real World Late Phase study. I work with a global team on my two oncology studies and the team is very quick to make decisions and the study scopes have grown. I believe every day is a new day to learn, and I have faced a lot of challenges with my team that have resulted in wonderful experiences.”

“Some of the exciting oncology studies I have had the privilege to work on are glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a rare form of brain tumor in adults, and metastatic melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer that can occur anywhere on the body.

Working on oncology studies is a very personal matter to me. I’ve had family members go through challenges with different cancers and it was very devastating. Nevertheless, I am convinced that there is hope that there will be a cure or some form of treatment to help patients and family members.”
