Searching for a job can feel like a full-time job. It takes a lot of energy and effort to research the company you want to work for — not to mention preparing for an interview. It’s a big life decision, and that’s why we’re committed to partnering with you throughout the journey — from apply to accept. Here’s a preview of what you can expect during our hiring process and how your experience begins with Syneos Health.

Note: Please be diligent in your job search at this time. Fraudulent activity is on the rise. Read our FAQ to learn more.

Search and Apply

When you land on our Careers page, this is your chance to choose your own career adventure! Click on the box that shows the career path you’re looking to explore — Clinical, Commerical, or Corporate. If you find a role within the Clinical or Corporate sections that aligns with your interests and experience and has you wondering “what if?”, click “Apply” to begin.

If you’re curious about the application for Commercial roles, learn more here.

A Clinical or Corporate application will ask for some basic contact and professional info, your resume and an optional cover letter. As a reminder, you will never be asked for sensitive banking or personal information.

After you complete the application, check your email (including your spam folder!) for a confirmation message from “Syneos Health Global Talent Acquisition Team”.

Application Review

Once you submit your application, a Talent Acquisition Specialist (recruiter) on our team will review your resume.

You can check your application status at any point in the hiring process by logging into your Candidate Profile, then click “My JobPage.”

Conversation with Talent Acquisition

If your skills and experience look like a match for the role, a Talent Acquisition Specialist will call or email you to schedule a 30 minute phone interview. Please know that our team will only contact you from a @syneoshealth.com email domain (beware of scammers!). During our conversation we will share more information about the role and why Syneos Health is a great place to work. We also want to get to know you, answer your questions, and learn more about your experience and goals.

Tip: If you’re not already familiar with Syneos Health, we encourage you to learn more so we can answer any initial questions you may have — we’re here to help!

Hiring Manager Review

Next, your Talent Acquisition Specialist will share your resume and notes from your initial conversation with the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager will consider multiple candidates and invite the top matches for interviews with the Hiring Team. This could include phone calls, virtual face-to-face meetings, or both. Some roles may require a meeting with our top pharma clients so you get to know your new sponsor as you imagine your journey with Syneos Health.

Meet the Hiring Team

If you’re invited to meet the Hiring Team, Talent Acquisition will work with you to schedule an interview. We will ensure you have confirmation and a final agenda with details before the interview no matter the type.

During your conversations, you can expect to be asked behavioral interview questions about your past experiences or how you would handle possible future situations in this role.

Tip: Remember that an interview goes both ways: you are interviewing the Syneos Health team as well to determine if they’re your Dream Team. Come prepared with thoughtful questions about the role, the team, expectations and opportunities.

Hiring Team Decision

From here the Hiring Team will make a decision based on the interviews. Remember, the team is meeting multiple candidates so the timing of this stage will vary based on how many candidates are invited to interview. Don’t forget — your Talent Acquisition Specialist is your partner in this journey and will keep you updated on where the Hiring Team is in their decision.

Tip: If you’re interviewing with other companies at the same time, let us know. We understand it can be tricky to navigate multiple interview timelines.

Receiving an Offer

Congratulations, the Hiring Team would like to extend an offer for you to join Syneos Health! Your Talent Acquisition Specialist will call you to review the details of the offer verbally, answer any of your questions, and then will follow-up via email with a formal offer letter for your electronic signature to acknowledge acceptance.

Welcome to the team!

If you decide to join Syneos Health and accept the offer, your Talent Acquisition Specialist will share next steps for your start date and location. You can expect to receive onboarding materials from our team (including your contract if applicable) and details for your first day. Your new leader will also reach out to welcome you to the organization.

Our team- Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers- look forward to getting to know you throughout your Syneos Health candidate journey.
